Fashion shows often celebrate finished garments, polished presentations, and the excitement of the runway.
What makes the Gold Thimble Fashion Show special is the reminder that every collection represents years of learning, experimentation, persistence, and creative growth.
On May 29, 2026, Los Angeles Trade-Technical College’s Design & Media Arts Pathway presented its Spring 2026 Gold Thimble Fashion Show, showcasing the work of graduating students from the Fashion Design program. Held outside the Culinary Arts Building on the LATTC campus, the evening brought together students, faculty, family members, and members of the Los Angeles fashion community to celebrate the next generation of designers.

The collections reflected a remarkable range of perspectives and influences. Some designers embraced bold silhouettes and dramatic visual statements, while others explored texture, movement, and craftsmanship. Together, the work demonstrated not only technical skill but also the individuality that makes fashion such a powerful creative medium.

As photographers, we are often drawn to the intersection of fashion and storytelling. A runway show offers only a brief glimpse of each look, yet every design carries countless decisions behind it. Fabric selection, pattern development, construction techniques, fittings, revisions, and creative problem-solving all contribute to the final presentation. Events like Gold Thimble provide an opportunity to appreciate the artistry that exists beyond what the audience sees during those few moments on the runway.

The evening also served as a reminder of the importance of educational programs that support emerging artists and creative professionals. Los Angeles remains one of the world’s most influential creative hubs, and institutions like LATTC help cultivate the talent that will shape the future of fashion, entertainment, and design.

For students, the Gold Thimble Fashion Show represents more than a graduation showcase. It marks a transition from the classroom into the broader creative industry. For attendees, it offers a chance to witness new voices and fresh perspectives before they make their mark on the fashion world.

We were honored to document portions of the event and celebrate the creativity, dedication, and imagination on display throughout the evening. Congratulations to the graduating Fashion Design class of 2026 on an inspiring showcase and an exciting milestone in your creative journey.
We look forward to seeing where your work takes you!

The runway environment included a variety of visual background noise, and she wanted the focus of the BTS content to be on the designers’ work. Google Gemini made that possible.
